Small unit, small mist

This is a small humidifier, but if you are buying it, you already know this. I am just going to manage your expectations.

This might be good for a small bedroom. It is a simple on, intermittent, and off with an oscillating feature. The mist will not shoot high in the air. The oscillating feature is cute, but not sure how effective it is, since the mist only shoots 3-4" in the air.

If you are looking for a safe, not too strong, humidifier for next to a crib in a baby's room, this may just fill that need. it is not line voltage. If something was to happen, the worst thing is the baby gets wet. the 5v most likely would not hurt the baby. Where a line voltage humidifier could do a "little more" harm to your little nugget.

Works well

This is great for small places. It puts out a good deal of steam and the LED light is not too bright for sleepng.

Couldn't figure it out.

UPDATED: I kept on trying with this unit because I think it works and I want to be fair. I still have not figured it out, but I got further. First of all, nothing happens if the unit top piece isn't fully twisted into place. Then it's good to understand that the only thing the button on the right does is make the unit rotate. The rest is a series of button pushes to the left button.

From what I can tell (again, directions are no help) - Start with unit off. Note that short pushes to the left button, no matter how many or few, do nothing. Don't even think about going down that rabbit hole. Instead, do one long push the left button. The constant spray will start. If you short push HERE, you'll get the intermittent spray. If you want the light, you have to long push during either the constant spray or the intermittent spray. Finally, a short push, EXCEPT during the constant spray, will turn the unit off.

It's not a good design, and worse directions, but this is how I get mine to work. I increased my review from 1 star to 2 stars due to the fact that the unit DOES WORK, but it is a heck of a journey to figure it out.

ORIGINAL: Here are the things I could not figure out, even with the "directions."

1. How to make it begin to mist.
2. How to get a light to come on. See pic, bottom right. That is the only light I saw, at the plug.
3. It apparently doesn't respond or work at all unplugged from charging block.
4. Why it suddenly began to rotate out of the blue. What is the purpose of that?
5. What is the purpose of the loop on the unit?

There are two buttons that apparently have several functions based upon how many presses on the first button and so many on the second one. I could not figure this out, consulted directions which produced nothing. Gave up. I may have pressed some button combo that instructs the unit to freeze forevermore. Dunno.

As others said, when you pull off the lid to put water in, the parts go flying everywhere. Watch out for this. I would suggest better directions. Mine seems frozen.

Love It

This is hands down my favorite tiny little humidifier. Had my doubts with it being battery operated but those doubts are completely gone. I have quite a few tiny little humidifiers and most do work but very few if any have matched this in vapor production. Plus the versatility of it being battery operated means I can literally take it anywhere. Lasts like 4 hrs on continuous and bout double that on intermittent without lights on and no rotation. However it can be plugged in and run at the same time so theres that plus too. All in all I really love this tiny little humidifier.

Perfect for a bedroom!

We live in the desert. I have had a humidifier since my son was a baby, in case of any colds or congestion. Recently I had finally purged it in a move. Then came along a few colds and I wished I hadn't gotten rid of it! The dry heat here can cause nose bleeds and a humidifier in most circumstances is nice when you are congested. So I picked this up- and Wow! It is perfect to set on a bedside table. It's small, easy to fill and quiet. It has a little night light and my son loved that. As well, it rotates, which helps spread the humidity. It is easy to clean, and is safe because it's cool mist. We have not traveled with it, but it is small enough to toss in a suitcase or carry on. I am really pleased with this even over the larger humidifiers I have always had. Great price for the quality.
